Privacy notice

This notice describes what the website at www.bks.agency collects and why. Information you provide inside a BKS Suite account, or to a BKS coordinator during an engagement, is governed by the agreement covering that engagement.

What this website collects

Contact requests. When you submit the contact form we receive your name, business name, email address, phone number if you give one, the service you selected, and whatever you wrote. We use it to respond to you and to scope the work you asked about.

Assistant conversations. Messages you send to BKS AI are transmitted to our model provider to generate a response, and are recorded in server logs for reliability and abuse prevention. The assistant has no access to any customer account. Do not send an SSN, EIN, bank account, or card number to it.

Server logs. Standard web request records, including IP address, are kept for operating, securing, and rate limiting the site.

Website measurement. This site uses Google Analytics to count visits and to record a small set of actions: that a plan was started, that a contact request was sent, that a link to one of our filing systems or to BKS Suite was followed. It exists so we can tell which pages are useful and which are not. Those events carry counts and page names only, never your name, email address, phone number, or anything you typed. Google Analytics sets its own cookies to recognise a returning browser, and your browser or an extension may block it without affecting anything else on this site.

How you reached us. When you send a contact request or a plan, we attach the first page of your visit, the site that referred you, and any campaign tags that were already in the link you followed. It is held for that one visit in your own browser and is used so a coordinator knows what you were reading before you wrote in.

What this website does not do

• It sets no advertising cookies and runs no advertising scripts.
• It embeds no social scripts, and no third-party script other than the Google Analytics measurement described above.
• It loads no fonts or assets from third-party domains.
• It does not sell your information.
• It does not ask for government identifiers or financial account numbers. Those are collected inside an authenticated account or by a coordinator, not through this site.

Who we share it with

Contact submissions are routed to the BKS team handling new engagements, and may pass through the service we use to deliver them internally. Assistant messages are processed by our model provider solely to produce the reply. Website measurement is processed by Google Analytics, which receives page and event names and never receives anything you type into a form. We do not share your information with anyone else except where we are legally required to.

How long we keep it

Contact requests are retained while we are corresponding with you and for as long afterwards as we need them for our own records. Server logs are retained for a limited operational period. If you become a customer, the retention terms of your engagement apply instead.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing TEAM@BKSTAX.COM or calling 732-634-9800. If you are a customer, some records have to be kept to meet tax and filing recordkeeping obligations, and we will tell you when that applies.

Children

This site is for businesses. It is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If these practices change we will update this page and the date at the top of it.
