Questions
Payroll: common questions
Which states are supported?
Federal payroll is supported nationwide. State withholding and unemployment coverage is built state by state and is expanding. Tell us where your employees work and we will confirm your states before you commit to anything.
Do you handle new hire reporting?
Yes. New hire reporting is part of onboarding an employee, alongside the state registrations that running payroll in a new state requires.
What about contractors?
Contractors are handled separately from payroll, under contractor onboarding and 1099 filing, because it is a different tax relationship with different reporting.
